Young People and Families
We are a welcoming, multi-generational church where children and teenagers are very welcome!
Our children play an active role in our church community.
Come and be part of it!
Whether your children are quiet or loud, still or active, sporty or arty, they will find a warm welcome here.
The Relaxed One
We're delighted to be launching our intergenerational Sunday Morning Service.
Designed for all ages, this relaxed service involves our children and young people right from the very start. Each week has a craft, and noise and movement is encouraged!
If you've ever been nervous about going to church in case your children make a noise, this is the ideal one for you! A great place to come as a family, and return happy, fulfilled and ready for all that the week has to offer.
Half Termly, Saturdays, 3-5pm
We're delighted to be gathering together for Messy Church every half term!
This intergenerational church is church, but not how you know it!
With activities, songs, talk and food, this is the ideal way to gather as a family, explore faith in active ways, and go home fed and watered!
Term Time, Mon & Thurs, 10-11:30 am
Well, before Covid we had one Toddler Group, after Covid, it was so popular, that we now have two!
If you need some time out, or want your little one to let off steam, this is the perfect place for you.
Friendly, relaxed and catering for Babies and pre-schoolers, its a great way to meet up with old friends and make some new ones along the way.
One Off Events
Happen throughout the year!
On top of all of this, we have lots of one-off events too that are perfect for young minds with energy to get rid of!
From the Light Stop on Oct 31st, to a Pancake Party on Shrove Tuesday, a Pet Service at the end of the Summer Term, Back to School Sunday in September and not to forget our Pop-Up Nativity and Christingle over Christmas, there really is so much to be part of!
Different rehearsals throughout the year
Music is important to us.
Our 9am and some of our One-Off Services celebrate the breadth and dignity of traditional hymns and anthems. Our children are encouraged to be part of our Festival Choirs for both Christmas and Easter.
Our 10:30 Service uses more contemporary music, and during our baptisms, we have live bands playing, and your children are welcome to be part of that too.
Opportunities throughout the year!
One of the great things about church is that it provides a really safe, and encouraging, space for your child to practice their public speaking.
Our children are encouraged to have a go each Sunday at 10:30 - perhaps reading the Bible or helping with our prayers.
Some of our children then want to be particularly brave and speak at our big Festival Services too - we practice with them, teaching them how to project their voices, find their rhythm, and look at their audience. Key life skills that schools often don't get chance to teach......
